Registered Nurses/Licensed Practical Nurses - Currently Seeking Full-time Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses

The Registered Nurse is responsible to assess and monitor medical concerns, review, provide nursing care to program participants, complete required documentation, provide in services to staff, collaborate with physicians and nurse practitioners, certify AMAP’s, review and act on incident reports, provide on-call coverage and participate in Agency activities.

 

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible to provide daily nursing care, order medications, provide updates to the RN and Nurse Practitioners, train and orient AMAP’s, schedule appointments, participate in Agency activities and complete required documentation.

The Residence Counselor is responsible to implement the IPP, attend to individuals’ personal care needs, oversee the individuals’ safety, keep nurses advised, participate in Agency activities, transport and accompany individuals’ on activities and assist in daily housekeeping and other facility-related duties and maintain documentation.

Hourly rates start at $9.18 an hour.
AMAP Certification, if received would be an additional $0.50/hr on top of the hourly rate.
Shift differentials are offered for hours worked after 3pm during the week, which is an additional $0.75/hr.
Weekend differentials are offered for hours worked past 3pm on Friday’s and over the weekend, which is an additional $1.25/hr.
Upstate Cerebral Palsy offers benefits, including medical and dental.

Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner


The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner is responsible for conducting Psychiatric Evaluations, providing treatment recommendations, ordering appropriate lab-work, providing pharmacological management as clinically appropriate, collaborating with the supervising psychiatrist and members of the Treatment Team, utilizing established best practice protocols, consulting with Primary Therapists, clinical staff, psychiatric nursing staff, families and significant others.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS/ QUALIFICATIONS/ EXPERIENCE:

  • Possess all appropriate coursework and credentials consistent with New York State Education Department requirements for the designation of Nurse Practitioner.
  • Current New York State License as a Nurse Practitioner in Psychiatry (NPP)

Under the supervision of Speech Language Pathologist, the Speech-Language Pathologist Applicant is responsible to evaluate and assess program participants, educate individuals and team members, complete required documentation, communicate with other health care professionals on the program participants' IPP/IEP, assist with departmental maintenance and supplies, participate in Agency activities, assist in orientation to the department and assist with equipment adaptation.

QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/FOR SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST - APPLICANT
Master’s degree in speech-language pathology or its equivalent, as determined by

  • NYSED to meet the educational requirement for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in accordance with the New York State commissioner's regulations.
  • Submission of all required documentation and fees to the New York State Office of the Professions for Speech-Language Pathologist licensure, first registration, and supervised experience.
