Ronald Kenins scored twice and Joacim Eriksson stopped 38 of 40 shots on goal to lead the Utica Comets to a 5-2 win over San Antonio in front of a sold out crowd at the Utica Aud Friday night.

The win pushed the Comets (4-1-1-0) into first place in the AHL's Western Conference North Division as they continued to look sharp to start the year.

Brandon Defazio and Dustin Jeffrey also scored for the Comets. It was the third goal of the season for each.

The Rampage goals came from Logan Shaw and Steven Kampfer.

The Comets are at the Aud again this evening hosting Toronto in what will be a third consecutive home sell out to start the season.
