DEC: Hunter Education Courses Now Available

Albany, NY (WIBX) - First time hunters and trappers are reminded that before they take to the fields, they need to complete their mandatory education course.

The Department of Environmental Conservation says courses will be offered, but finding available classes just before the season begins will be difficult.

DEC officials are also reminding previously licensed hunters who plan on hunting out of state to have their education certificate and licenses on hand.

Those unable to find their certificate, or don't have one, may be required to retake their hunting course.
