Griffo Hosts Senate Education Chair For Tour Of Local Colleges [VIDEO]

Senator Joseph Griffo hosted the final part of his three part education town hall series today by hosting Senator Kenneth Lavalle for a tour of area colleges.

Lavalle is the Chairman of the State Senate Committee on Higher Education.

After visiting MVCC, Utica College and SUNYIT, Senator Lavalle said he wants to grow programs that will benefit students who come to the Utica Rome area for higher education.

He also said having a strong Kindergarten through 12th grade program in the Mohawk Valley is essential because it will prepare students for college level learning.
