Herkimer County officials have announced the launch of a flood resources web page to provide residents with updates and information about the recent flooding.
The page includes an encouraging message from Chairman Vincent Bono as well as emergency contact numbers for the newly created flood helpline and important offices around New York State.

By logging on to Herkimerflood.org, Herkimer County residents can sign up for the county's emergency alert system to be warned about future flooding and severe weather. The page also includes links and phone numbers for other important services such as the New York State Spill Hotline for hazardous materials, information about travel routes and emergency management services.

There is also a tab dedicated to county residents that shows the latest boil water advisories and lists where residents can go to receive meals and supplies. Other helpful sections inform people about important issues such as power, abandoned vehicles and even warn flood victims about possible price gouging.

The website is up and running at www.herkimerflood.org
