Herkimer Man Charged With Assault

A Herkimer man was arrested after allegedly assaulting a woman and holding her against her will.

Herkimer Police say 23-year old Juanleiko Williams damaged the woman's property on North Caroline Street, assaulted her and kept her from leaving her home to seek help.

Williams is charged assault, unlawful imprisonment and criminal mischief.

He was arraigned in Village Court and released on his own recognizance to appear at a later date.
