The sentencing of the Bridgewater man accused in the beating death of a 1 year old is now on hold.

Ian Gulbin was supposed to be sentenced today, but instead asked to withdraw his guilty plea.

Judge Michael Dwyer adjourned the case for two weeks until August 11, to review transcripts of Gulbin's plea to determine if the option is available.

Dwyer will also be reviewing whether Gulbin will need to be appointed a new public defender.

Gulbin entered the original guilty plea last month.
