The Toronto Blue Jays used five pitchers to hold the Mets to six hits and no runs in an 8-0 win at the Rogers Centre in Toronto on Wednesday.

Drew Hutchison picked up the win going 5 and 2/3 innings giving up four hits while striking out five to improve to 6-1.

Mets starter Jonathon Niese allowed seven hits and three runs over seven innings but got no run support to fall to 3-7. In relief, Akeel Morris had a forgettable MLB debut: three hits, three walks, five earned runs in 2/3 of an inning.

The 22-year-old's appearance was a courtesy from manager Terry Collins, reports ESPN.com, as Morris was called up from Single-A Port St. Lucie because he was on the 40-man roster. As planned, Morris was sent down after the game, although with a dubious ERA:

He was demoted after the game with a 67.50 ERA (5 ER, 0.2 IP). That's the second-highest ERA in Mets history, trailing only Garrett Olson's 108.00 (4 ER, 0.1 IP), according to the Elias Sports Bureau.

Danny Valencia drove in three runs while had two RBIs and three hits, including a solo home run off Niese.

The four-game home and home series between the two teams wraps up on Thursday night with Bartolo Colon taking on ex-Met R.A. Dickey.
