Lorraine Arcuri To Run For 6th Ward Utica Council Seat

Utica, NY (WIBX) - At Large Utica Councilwoman Lorraine Arcuri will not seek re-election to her current seat. Instead, Arcuri has announce her plan to run for the city's 6th Ward seat.

The 6th Ward seat is held by Richard Lawler, who has said he will not run again.

Arcuri, a Democrat, has been elected as one of three At-Large council members five times, she said.

The city's Republican committee has endorsed Philip Bruno to run for the seat, which covers North Utica. Another Republican, Samantha Colosimo, has also announced her intent to run for the 6th Ward seat.
