LYONS, N.Y. (AP) — A western New York man is in jail after authorities say he stripped naked in a stranger's house and tried to bribe sheriff's deputies not to arrest him.

The Wayne County Sheriff's Office says 28-year-old Henry Mckenzie of Lyons was charged with criminal trespass and bribery after he disrobed in a house in his hometown Tuesday evening. The sheriff's office says Mckenzie tried to bribe deputies with cash to let him go.

Authorities offered no explanation for Mckenzie's behavior.

After his arraignment in Galen Town Court, Mckenzie was jailed without bail because of previous felony convictions.

It could not be determined if he has a lawyer to comment.
