A Utica man is facing charges after a car-pedestrian accident at the intersection of Wilcox Road and Clinton Street in Whitestown.

Whitestown Police say 77-year old Thomas Groves was hit by a vehicle driven by 40-year old Brent Pyne just after 7:30 this morning.

Police say Pyne carried Groves about 15 feet on the front of his vehicle before he realized he struck something and stopped.

Groves suffered head trauma and is in the intensive care unit of a local hospital.

Pyne was arrested for driving with a suspended driver's license.

His wife, 36-year old Suzanne Pyne, was ticketed for letting her husband drive a car registered in her name while knowing his license was suspended.

The investigating is continuing and police say Brent Pyne will face additional charges.
