New Hartford Man Accused Of Trying To Have Sex With Six Year Old Girl

A New Hartford man has been arrested in New Jersey for allegedly trying to have sex with a six-year old girl.

According to Bergen County Prosecutor John Molinelli, 59-year old William Potoczny is facing several charges, including attempted aggravated sexual assault.

Molinelli says Potoczny used the internet to chat with someone he believed to be the parent of the child.

It was actually a member of the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office Computer Crimes Task Force

Officials say Potoczny described what sexual acts he wanted to perform with the child and sent sexually explicit photos and videos as well.

New Hartford Police and New York State Police assisted in the investigation.
