Clint Bowyer's bold move to the inside with two laps left took out race leaders Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson, and allowed Ryan Newman to steal a victory at Martinsville on Sunday.

On a restart, teammates Gordon and Johnson were 1-and-2, with Bowyer in third. When Bowyer bolted to inside track position, he nudged Gordon into Johnson and all three spun-out.

It was a sad ending to a dominant day for the Hendrick teammates, who lead a combined 440 laps. Johnson ended in 12th with Gordon in 14th.

For Newman, it's his first win since July in New Hampshire, his only victory of the 2011 seas0n.

A.J. Allmendinger, Dale Jr., Matt Kenseth and Martin Truex Jr. rounded out the top five.

Earnhardt crept to within six points of Sprint Cup leader Greg Biffle, who finished 13th.
