Rome, NY (WIBX) - Rome Police Officer Donald Moore has been nominated as one of America's Most Wanted's All-Stars.

Each week a finalist is selected based on votes from the public. The grand prize winner will receive $10,000 and an 'All-Star weekend' at the NASCAR SPRINT Cup Series All-Star Race.

Moore was off duty on May 27th, 2010 when Abraham Dickan entered the AT&T store on Commercial Drive and shot a store employee. Moore quickly reacted, fatally shooting Dickan.

Moore joined the Rome PD in 2007 and received two letters of Commendation, one in 2008 for his response to a homicide and another in 2009 for a river rescue of a 7-year-old girl, for which he also received the American Red Cross Real Heroes Award.

In 2009, Moore also received the "Officer Joseph D. Corr Memorial Award" for having the most DWI arrests.

Moore was presented with the first ever AT&T Heroes Award in recognition and sincere appreciation for his heroic actions in May of last year.

Voting for week 2 finalists ends Sunday.
