A lawsuit has been brought against the Oneida County Board of Legislators by board member Frank Tallarino for what Tallarino claims is an unlawful appointment of committees by Chairman Gerald Fiorini.

Tallarino says after multiple unsuccessful attempts to clarify his questions, his only course of action was to file the lawsuit.

Fiorini believes that no rules were broken in regards to the committee appointments and he says the lawsuit isn't necessary.

The Board of Legislators voted to retain Herbert J. Cully, Esq., as legal counsel for the entire board.

The matter will head to trial beginning May 12.
