Wei-Yin Chen (4-0) threw seven innings of four-hit, two-run ball as the Orioles earned a split of a brief two-game series in Baltimore, beating the Yankees 5-2 on Tuesday night.

C.C. Sabathia (5-1) was dealt his first loss in shaky outing of eight hits and four runs over six innings.

Adam Jones touched up Sabathia for a solo homer run in the second, while J.J Hardy had a pair of RBI hits.

The O's' other runs came on a double play ball, and one of two pass balls charged to Yankee backup catcher Chris Stewart.

Curtis Granderson accounted for both New York runs with his 13th homer - a two run shot off of Chen in the seventh inning.

The Yanks (20-16) open a two game series in Toronto on Wednesday.
