Polls open at noon today for residents of the Mohawk and Ilion Central School districts.

Twenty-one candidates are campaigning for seven open positions.  Those candidates with the largest number of votes will hold the positions with the longest service on the newly-created board.  Voters may vote for up to seven candidates.

The only polling place open, as mandated by the New York State Commissioner of Education, is the Small Gym at the Ilion Junior-Senior High School.  The school is located at One Golden Bomber Drive in Ilion.  All traffic must access the school via the Frederick Street Bridge because Philip Street is now a dead end road.  The Ilion School District Office can be reached at: (315) 894.9924 and the Ilion Junior-Senior High School at: (315) 895.7471.  Directions to the school may be found by clicking here.

Polls close at 8:00pm.
