‘Pride Of New York’ Website Puts Local Food And Beverages At Your Fingertips
Governor Cuomo is encouraging New Yorkers to take advantage of the state's newly updated "Pride of New York" website.
The website is a great resource for the best locally grown and produced New York State food and beverage products.
Cuomo wants New Yorkers to remember the website when you search for gifts this holiday season.
Prideofny.com allows users to search for retail outlets, restaurants, farms, manufacturers and other categories.
The "Pride of New York" website allows users to conduct specific searches of databases from the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets in a user friendly format. Search results can be filtered by how far you are willing to travel and directions and contact information are also available.
"Whether you're looking for a bakery on Long Island or a winery in the North Country, the 'Pride of New York' website offers an extensive collection of New York's finest local producers to help complete your holiday season," Governor Cuomo said. "Buying food and beverages that are grown and produced right here in New York is an important way to support local vendors as well as the State's agricultural industries. I encourage every New Yorker to use this valuable resource as they prepare for the upcoming holidays and taste the very best that New York has to offer."
Cuomo is also encouraging restaurants and chefs across the state to take the "Pride of New York Pledge", that encourages the increased use of New York products by at least ten percent or more.
There are more than 3,000 members of the "Pride of New York" program listed in the database.
