The National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown has announced that Ralph Kiner has died at the age of 91.

Kiner was a MLB slugger starting with the Pittsburgh Pirates in 1946.  He because best known in modern history as a legendary announcer for the New York Mets.  Kiner was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1975.
