The National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown has announced that Ralph Kiner has died at the age of 91.

Kiner was a MLB slugger starting with the Pittsburgh Pirates in 1946.  He because best known in modern history as a legendary announcer for the New York Mets

Hall Of Fame Remembers Harmon Killebrew

(WIBX950 Sports)    Harmon Killebrew passed away Tuesday morning at his Scottsdale Arizona home,  he was 74.   Killebrew had been battling esophageal cancer, and he announced last week that his battle was coming to an end. Killebrew died peacefully, with his wife, Nita, and their family at his side.   The Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown remembers this great Hall of Famer.
