Carl Hagelin and Chris Kreider each scored a goal while Henrik Lundqvist and the Rangers defense were able to fend off the Penguins in the final period to snag a 2-1 win in Game Three and a 2-1 series lead.

New York's defense smothered the Pens' on their home ice, holding Pittsburgh to 11 shots on goal through the first two periods. Lundqvist ended the night stopping 23 of 24 shots he faced.

Game Four of their opening round series is Wednesday night in Pittsburgh.
