Remsen Man Caught on Tape Sexually Abusing Child Under 8-Years-Old

New York State Police were called to a residence in the Town of Madison for reports of a sex offense in progress.

Upon arrival it was discovered by police that 28-year-old Jason Edwards of Remsen was allegedly caught on tape sexually abusing a child under the age of 8. Edwards was consequently arrested after State Police reviewed the video.

The investigation is ongoing and Edwards has been charged with Sexual Abuse and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. He was arraigned and remanded to the Madison County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash bail/$50,000.00 bond.  A felony hearing is scheduled for August 21, 2017 at 10:00 am.
