Turin, NY (WIBX) - The New York State Police have arrested a Rome man following an investigation of stolen and forged checks.

Mark Kohn of Rome has been charged with six counts of Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument after an investigation revealed he passed stolen and forged checks at the Hilltop Market and the Milkplant Tavern in West Leyden last year.

He was arrested on February 10 following a joint investigation with New York State Police in Lowville and the Rome Police Department.

Kohn is currently being held in the Lewis County Correctional Facility.
