Rome Woman Arrested After Falsely Reporting Assault
A Rome woman is in trouble with the law after allegedly Falsely Reporting an Assault.
According to New Hartford Police, 40-year-old Jennifer Dahlke called 911 screaming for help near the FAMCO Express Mart on Kellogg Road.
Dahlke, an employee of the store, told police that she had been physically assaulted by a black male while taking the garbage out.
Dahlke gave a description of the suspect and was transported to a local hospital for evaluation.
Following an investigation it was determined Dahlke's report of the incident was false, and that she had made the complaint after becoming impaired by alcohol while at work.
Dahlke was then arrested and charged with 1 count of Falsely Reporting an Incident and Making a Punishable False Written Statement.
