Yet another series of severe thunderstorms packing intense winds tore through the Mohawk Valley on Wednesday, shredding large trees and leaving several local roads flooded.

In New York Mills, a large chunk of the Mill No.1 building's roof is gone.

Residents found slate roof shingles in their driveways and backyards nearly a block away from the structure, including a large support beam that flew at least 80 to 100 yards in the air before landing in the front lawn of a home on Mill Street.

A home closer to the factory had a gaping hole in its roof, something one neighbor said was caused by another large wooden support beam that also flew off the Mill No.1 building.

Also, at least three cars were damage by downed tree limbs, and in one case, an entire car was swallowed up when two trees blew over and landed on top of it.
