Cooperstown School Board Votes To Remove Redskins Mascot
March 7, 2013 The Oneida Indian Nation is congratulating the Cooperstown School Board for voting to remove the Redskins mascot from its sports teams.
The board voted 6-to-1 Wednesday night to drop the name.
The move was prompted by last month's vote by the student body that the mascot be changed
