The Oneida County Health Department will hold a special immunization clinic intended to give children entering the sixth grade a booster to avoid pertussis, or "whooping cough" as it is more commonly known.
Health department officials say 56 cases of Lyme disease have been confirmed in Oneida County so far this year and more than 30 of those were in July alone.
As the new school year approaches and with flu season right around the corner, the Oneida County Health Department is reminding everyone that their immunizations should be up to date.
