Therapy, Not Pills, Suggested for Those Suffering from Insomnia
The potential side effects of certain pills are being reconsidered by doctors as more and more medications are sought the fight against insomnia.
Now the American College of Physicians is recommending that those who struggle with insomnia try therapy and meditation before medication.
The ACP estimates that between six and ten percent of adult Americans have serious insomnia, i.e. that which could be considered to be a clinical disorder.
Therapy, although it may take longer, is now being considered a serious alternative to drugs.
