Tony Stewart Holds Off Johnson In Las Vegas

Defending Sprint Cup champion Tony Stewart got his first win of the 2012 season with a victory in the Kobalt Tools 400.

Stewart also got his first win at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, holding off Jimmie Johnson who raced near the front of the pack all day. Greg Biffle, Ryan Newman and Carl Edwards rounded out the top five.

Biffle, who’s finished in third in all three races this year, moves in the Sprint Cup Series lead jumping 10 points ahead of Kevin Harvick who came in 20th.
