Frankfort, NY (WIBX) - It's unofficial, but it appears that another tornado touched down in the Mohawk Valley. This twister dismantled the roof of a Frankfort home, just as the family escaped in the basement for protection.

WIBX snapped these photos outside of the Brockway Road home this morning, about four hours after the tornado came through. Amazingly, no one was seriously hurt. However, the homeowner, Mike, says his son was hit in the head with a brick as the chimney collapsed.

The home's owner, Mike, talks about what he and his family experienced just before 5 a.m.

This comes after the National Weather Service confirmed that a twister touched down just northwest of Rome on Tuesday afternoon.
