Utica, NY (WIBX) - The Utica Police METRO Unit carried out two no-knock search warrants at homes in the city Tuesday resulting in two arrests.

Tyrone Frazier, 40, was taken into custody following a raid at a home on Seymour Ave. where police say they found cocaine, marijuana, cash and a loaded .12 gauge shotgun. Frazier faces felony and misdemeanor counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance.

In the other home, on Dudle Ave., police say they also found cocaine, marijuana, cash and a loaded .38 caliber handgun. Akii Rondu Lockwood, 31, is charged with misdemeanor and felony counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon.

The UPD METRO Unit was assisted by the Utica/New Hartford Emergency Response Team and New Hartford Police Officers assigned to Operation Impact, officials said.
