United Way Names New Executive Director

Utica, NY (WIBX) - After a several months long search, the United Way of the Valley and Greater Utica Area has named a new Executive Director.

Brenda Episcopo, who has served the past eight yars as the Executive Director of the Peacemaker Program, will begin her duties on June 6th.

Episcopo has a long-standing history with the United Way of the Valley and Greater Utica Area.

She's a long-time campaign volunteer and former officer of the United Way's Non-Profit Executive Directors Group.

Along with today's announcement, the United Way Board of Directors  recognized 2010 Campaign Chairman Symeon Tsoupelis for his hard work
and dedication in raising $2.74 million dollars.

David Sherline, Vice President at Merrill Lynch, has been named the 2011 Campaign Chairman.
