Utica 5S Travel Advisory For Tuesday Night, Wednesday Morning

The New York State Department of Transportation Utica Regional Office has issued the following traveler advisory for Route 5S and John Street:

Tonight, Tuesday, June 5, 2018 starting at 8:00PM to 6:00AM Route 5S eastbound will be closed at John Street, traffic on Route 5S eastbound will be detoured to John Street North and to Broad Street. Signed detours will be utilized to advise motorists of the road closure and direct traffic to the appropriate detour route.

DOT officials added that from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., daily lane closures will be in place on Route 5S east and westbound in Utica between Broadway and Broad Street. Drivers are urged to use caution when traveling through work zones.
