A Utica man has plead guilty to Cocaine Conspiracy before a Chief U.S. District Judge.

34-year-old Jeffrey Rivera admitted to conspiring to possess with intent to distribute more than 5 kilograms of Cocaine.

The announcement of the plea came on the day Rivera's trial was set to begin. As part of the plea deal, Rivera admitted he agreed with others, including co-defendants, to participate in drug trafficking.

Chief Judge Suddaby will sentence Rivera on October 25th at which time he may face at least 10 years in prison, possibly a $10 Million fine, or life in prison.

Several local and National law enforcement agencies assisted in investigating Rivera.
