Utica Post 229 Honors Top Cops
Two members of the Utica Police Department are being honored by Utica American Legion Post 229.
Officer John Scaramuzzino and Investigator Paul Paladino have been named the Legion's Police Officers of the Year.
Scaramuzzino was recognized for stopping a gunman who had shot four people last October at the Level Bar in Utica.
Paladino was cited for curbing heroin and illegal gun use.
They were presented their awards on Thursday night at the North Utica Post.
