Utica Rome Unemployment Rate Down In August

Local unemployment rates for August have been released by the New York State Department of Labor.

The unemployment rate in the Utica-Rome area was 4.3 percent last month.  That's down from 4.9 percent in August 2015.

The state's unemployment rate increased slightly, from 4.7 percent to 4.8 percent in August.
