The Val Bialis Ski Center in Utica has new LED lights.

Mayor Robert Palmieri says many of the lights on the hill haven't worked in years.  Palmieri says the new lights will last for over 30 years and are a long term investment into the infrastructure of the City Park System.

He say the LED lights will result in an 80% reduction in energy use and offer a higher light level than ever before.

The new energy efficient lights were funded by incentives from National Grid, along with a low interest loan from the New York Power Authority.
