The National Weather Service offices in Binghamton and Albany have issued Winter Weather Advisories for Oneida, Madison, Herkimer and all counties in the Eastern Mohawk Valley.

The advisories are in effect Wednesday at 8 through Thursday morning at 11.   The storm is forecast to bring snow, sleet and a brief period of freezing rain to the area.  The hazzards from the storm are not the amount of snowfall as rates are fairly light,

ACCUMULATIONS...MOST AREAS WILL RECEIVE 1 TO 2 INCHES OF SNOW
  AND SLEET, WITH HIGH ELEVATIONS IN THE CATSKILLS REGION
  RECEIVING 2 TO 4 INCHES OF SNOW. THE SNOW WILL MELT QUICKLY WHEN
  RAIN ARRIVES LATE MORNING.
