Mark Teixeira and Curtis Granderson each homered, and Nick Swisher added a pair of RBI's, helping the Yankees top the Orioles 8-5 in Baltimore on Monday night.

Teixeira's fifth homer of the year broke a 5-5 tie in the seventh - he ended with two hits, two RBI's and scored three runs as he looks to break out of a six week slump that has seen the powerful first baseman hit just .231.

Yankees starter Ivan Nova left in the sixth inning with a bruised foot, courtesy of a Nick Markakis third innings liner. He took a no decision after a rough 5 1/3 innings of seven hits and five runs.

David Phelps (1-1) worked a scoreless inning of relief for his first win, while Rafeal Soriano was tapped to for his second save in the ninth.

The Yankees wrap up a brief two-game series in Baltimore on Tuesday night where they are 4-0 so far this year.
