The Yankees' offense is back just in time for the playoffs!

The Yankees' 14-2 drubbing of the Red Sox on Wednesday night locked up not only the American East title and home field advantage through the ALCS, but also marked the fifth time in six games they've scored at least nine runs.

New York (95-67) put 50 runs on the board in those six games - going 5-1 - and seems to be hitting a collective stride at the best possible time.

The Yanks open the postseason on Sunday on the road against the winner of Friday's Wild Card Playoff between the Orioles and Rangers.

No official designation has been made yet. but expect C.C. Sabathia to take the ball for the pinstripes.
