$1,100,510 Raised For AHA

Utica, NY (WIBX) - A little wet weather didn't stop 8,444 runners and walkers from particpating in America's Greatest Heart Run & Walk on Saturday. A total of $1,100,510 dollars was raised for the American Heart Association.

The total was a bit shy of the $1.2 million goal, and a little less than was raised in 2010.

WIBX would like to thank all the donors who made a contribution to the 40th Annual WIBX Slocum Dickson Heart Radiothon, and all who were involved in any of the activities this weekend.

The American Heart Association's Kids Walk Event is happending on March 19th at Proctor High School.
