The NFL and the players association have now both signed off on a new collective bargaining agreement, effectively ending the lockout, according to espn.com.

"It's been a long time coming. Football is back and that's great news for everybody," commissioner Roger Goodell said in a joint news conference outside the NFLPA's headquarters in Washington.
