Many homes, vehicles and businesses in Oneida, NY have been devastated by severe flooding. Fortunately, none of the residents WIBX spoke to said they knew of any injuries to their neighbors.

While photographing the damage, we noticed a couple walking up a heavily flooded street. When we got to the edge of the water - the intersection of East Walnut St. and Lenox Ave - we were able to see what it was they waded through the water for - their dogs.

Brandon and Alish Crouth - with a water line to their chest - had to go back for their St Bernard, named Bailey, and their pit bull, Cookie. Both dogs were a little spooked by the fast rising water but were happy to see their owners return and help them to safety:
