A rally in front of the State office building on Genesee Street brought parents, teachers and community members together to raise awareness and support of the critical situation Utica City Schools are in when it comes to funding.

Despite promises and some action in Albany, Proctor High teacher Amy Barok feels that not enough is being done to help underfunded school districts like Utica.

Utica City Schools are forced to cut more than 90 positions this year with 50 of those being teachers.
