Utica, NY (WIBX) -  It's a little more than six months until the annual Great American Irish Festival and organizers are hosting a Halfway to the GAIF Hooley later this month.

The Halfway Hooley is scheduled for Sunday, January 30th, from 2:00-6:00 p.m. at Hart's Hill Inn in Whitesboro. It's an opportunity to thank the event volunteers and sponsors, organizers say.

The band "Hair of the Dog" will be performing.

Those who volunteered for the 2010 GAIF can purchase tickets for $10 and can purchased by emailing http://gaif-volunteers.eventbrite.com

There are a limited number of tickets available to the public for $25. Those can purchased at The Brewery Shop and Celtic Harp, or online at http://hooley.eventbrite.com

The celebration will also include an announcement for the St. Patrick's Day Parade Grand Marshall, and a run down of the performers at this year's Great American Irish Festival, which is scheduled for July 29th-31st.

GAIF organizes the annual St. Patrick's Day Parade in Utica. This year, it is scheduled for March 12th.
