New York Yankees closer Mariano Rivera’s strikeout of Chris Parmelee not only secured the victory for the Bombers, but also pushed Mo past Trevor Hoffman on the all-time saves list.

New York beat the Twins 6-4 on Monday afternoon as Rivera picked up career save 602. It was his 43rd save of the year.

The Yankees were lead by Curtis Granderson who clubbed homer number 41 in the first inning, putting New York ahead 2-0.

Robinson Cano, Nick Swisher, Russ Martin and Alex Rodriguez each drove in a run as the Yankees improved to 92-60 on the year.
