Just hours before MLB's waiver trade deadline, the New York Mets made a move in an effort to bolster their bullpen.

They've acquired right-handed reliever Fernando Salas from the Los Angeles Angeles. In return, the Mets have parted ways with pitching prospect Erik Minoah.

Salas is a former closer for the St. Louis Cardinals. This season, he's posted a 4.47 ERA in 56.1 innings pitched with a 3-6 record and 1.26 WHIP.
