More than 120 people joined the NUAIR Alliance and Griffiss International Airport for the inaugural Unmanned Aircraft Systems Industry Days at the Turning Stone Resort and Casino.

Over the two-day event, academic and industry experts gathered to highlight advancements and explore opportunities UAS testing holds for the region.

Since being selected by the FAA as one of six test sites for unmanned aircraft in the United States, NUAIR has begun conducting research aimed at safely integrating  drones into the national airspace.

Test sites could bring 2,600 new jobs and $700 million in economic impact to New York and Massachusetts.
