It was the performance Syracuse fans were waiting for.

The seventh-ranked Syracuse Orange closed out the regular season with a strong 74-58 road win against Florida State on Sunday, with four players in double-figures scoring and strong effort on the glass.

Having lost four of five entering Sunday's finale, 'Cuse somewhat resembled the team that started the season a perfect 25-0 and held the nation's unanimous number-one ranking.

C.J. Fair had a game-high 22 points to go along with seven rebounds, while Jerami Grant returned to action (back) with 16 points and eight boards to pace the Orange (27-4, 14-4 ACC).

Tyler Ennis also had 16, and Rakeen Christmas put in a dozen as Syracuse had it's highest scoring output since their overtime win in the first meeting with Duke on Feb 1.

They shot 48% and won the rebound battle 43-24, but uncharacteristically finished with 12 turnovers.

FSU (18-12, 9-9 ACC) was to hang around for the game's first 28 minutes, but Syracuse used an 18-7 run to run the game out of reach in the closing minutes.

Akara White led the Seminoles with 20 points, followed by Ian Miller's 16.

ACC Tournament play begins Wednesday afternoon.
