Robert Coffin Sentenced For Thomas Shepherd Murder
36-year old Robert Coffin of Rome was sentenced Monday in Oneida County Court for the murder of Thomas Shepherd, Junior.
Coffin was previously found guilty of second degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon.
He was sentenced to 25 years to life in state prison on the murder charge and 15 years in prison with five years of post-release supervision on the weapons charge.
The sentences will be served consecutively.
Shepherd was shot and killed outside Sammy G's Bar in Rome in August of last year.
